Spirit of Place April to October, 2026
We wanted to announce a series of 3-day workshops that Alma La Masure will be hosting in spring and summer of this year, called Spirit of Place. And invite you to stay with us in the hamlet of La Masure in the French Alps to celebrate together the many connections we innately share with the natural world. Spirit of Place is a call to reconnect to the land and listen deeply to the voices of nature. Remember and cultivate our relationship with the other-than-human world. It is an exploration of the fabric of place made of earth, water, minerals, plants, animals, human touch, life and stories.
Spring
06.12 - 06.14 🜄 WATER
Together with Humanhood-trained dancer and fluid movement practitioner Lucy Marlen Nicholas, venture out onto mountain grounds to uncover and explore the waters within. Slowly dissolve your Self and follow the course of your inner waters. Allow your fluid body to come into relationship with outer bodies of water and open to the teachings that this element holds for you. Embody the water ways and move through life from a place of resonance, adaptability, and balance.
In English language. 06.19 - 06.21 ♢ MINERAL SPIRITS OF PLACE
Léonie Zikos invites you to remember and deepen your connection with the mineral realm. And what better playground than the mountains to find rocks and stones that speak to you! She will guide you through subalpine terrain to search for guardians of place, listen to the gentle whisper of rocks, and find the one that wants to come home with you (after Léonie engraves it and brings it to life for each one of you!). Enter a prehistoric cromlech and experience the power of a sacred site built by our ancestors to honor our relationship with the land and the sun. Celebrate a time of transition on a summer solstice day.

08.21 - 08.23 ー VOICE OF PLACE
Tune into the voice of the place alongside Andrea Langlois, a systemic constellation and ritual facilitator. Over 3 days, embark on an embodied and relational journey to explore how you can connect with and be guided by the spirit of place. Tiptoe in the past, sense into the future, and dance with the energies of nature and the land, all while being held in a group process. Walk through life in conversation, reciprocity and harmony with the natural world.

Price per person
3-day workshop: 300 euros.
From Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon. Bring your own meals and arrange your individual accommodation. Food & accommodation provided by Alma La Masure: 350 euros.
2 nights in a private room in the hamlet of La Masure (option to share a room also available - just contact us for more details).
6 nourishing homemade meals beginning with dinner on Friday and concluding with lunch on Sunday.
The closest airports are Geneva International Airport (GVA) in Switzerland or Lyon Saint Exupéry (LYS) in France.
Please arrange your own transportation to and from Bourg-Saint-Maurice. We can then come and pick you up at the train / bus station in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, the biggest town nearby, if you needed a ride.
